OIG Informational Report Highlights Historic Service Deterioration At The Hearing Level
A recent report by the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) illustrates the significant deterioration in service levels at the hearing level (data updated through June 30, 2016).
Nationwide, the average administrative law judge (ALJ) has 745 hearings pending, with a majority over SSA’s goal of 270 days processing time from the date the hearing was filed.
