Just a few months after the SSA issued an Emergency Message detailing a new standard fee structure for processing non-program related requests (see our related blog post), the Agency has now made changes to those fees. Citing "the most recent cost analysis", below are the new fees effective Oct. 1, 2014, as published in the Federal Register:
According to the Agency, "Standard fees provide consistency and ensure we recover the full cost of supplying information when we receive a request for a purpose not directly related to the administration of a program under the Social Security Act (Act)."
